ConGRADulations!

On April 9, 2022, the E. Kathleen Cooke Foundation (EKC), a partner and philanthropic arm of Epsilon Lambda Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., awarded $10,000.00 in scholarships to students in the tri-state area at its inaugural Scholarship Brunch. The foundation also strives to carry out the legacy of E. Kathleen Cooke, a lifelong educator who served students in the Cincinnati Public School System and a Charter member of Epsilon Lambda Sigma Chapter. “Today, the foundation helped to lessen the financial burden families and their student (s) experience as they prepare for their intended college and/or university” said Dr. Terri Hurdle, who is the President of E. Kathleen Cooke Foundation. Eighteen scholarships which ranged from $250.00-$1,000.00 were awarded to eligible students. The event also highlighted the talent of our local youth and celebrated partners and donors.
